Is there a recipe you can use to calculate my credit score?
I no longer have a use for a new loan, so not worth paying on my own. But I want to know my credit score. Is this calculation / formula patented or "ownership" of a particular company? Barbara, I'm much to old to become a "leg" of anything. Above all, no credit. When I needed a mortgage never heard of the score "credit" now is all we hear about. I'm just curious.
No, there is no formula you can use. The 3 rating agencies credit of each produce their own score for you and criterea using a mystery. The opening of a new card balances, pay on time, and a huge list of other factors that affect everyone and sometimes funny. So there's no way you can calculate yourself
